Maestra Selection No. 2 is Maestra Tequilera Ana María Romero Mena’s exploration of the incredibly diverse terroir of Mexico, celebrating the country’s rich heritage through the tradition and craft of tequila. Distilled from fully mature Blue Weber agaves sourced from single estates in each of the five states within tequila’s Denomination of Origin – Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit, and Tamaulipas – this limited bottling is an exquisite showcase of how differences in soil, climate and environmental conditions impact the taste profile of the agave.

Distilled separately and masterfully blended, the final profile is rich and complex while allowing each state’s unique spirit to shine through.

TASTING NOTES

On the nose
Aromas of caramelized coconut, vanilla, cooked agave, fruity notes such as caramelized cherry and roasted pineapple, citrus hints of fresh lemon, spices including cinnamon, tonka pepper, nutmeg, and cardamom. Herbal tones like mint, spearmint, sage, freshly cut grass, and floral nuances such as roses.

On the eye
Very bright, with silvery highlights, luminous, and full-bodied.
